Luxul Wireless and Smartronix Partner to Deliver Secure, High-Performance Wireless Systems for DoD and Military Use

 
Luxul Shock-WAVTM Frequency Translating Amplifiers (FTA) and X-WAVTM Antennas to be Core Components of Smartronix LastLinkTM Product Line
 
Lindon, Utah, June 4, 2009 — Luxul Wireless, a leading innovator of patented high-performance wireless signal technologies, announced today it has signed an agreement with Smartronix, a supplier of turnkey system solutions used in military and other government applications, that allows Luxul products to be integrated within Smartronix systems and kits. Initially, Smartronix will integrate Shock-WAV Frequency Translating Amplifier (FTA) and X-WAV Antenna products creating the LastLink solution. Targeted for use by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), LastLink delivers secure point-to-point links between military locations, while also enabling local WI-FI access at those locations. The LastLink solution is currently being featured at the 2009 Special Operations Forces Industry Conference (SOFIC 09) conference in Tampa, Florida through June  4, 2009 in the Smartronix booth (#202, 204, 206).
 
The Luxul Wireless FTA is a key technology enabler for LastLink. It converts standard 5GHz signals to the U.S. government restricted 4.4GHz band, allowing for the use of commercial-off-the shelf (COTS) technologies within secure government band applications. In addition, Luxul’s X-WAV antennas are utilized to deliver superior signal range in challenging environments where obstructions often impede signal propagation or where mobility is a requirement. LastLink also integrates a wireless access point from Fortress Technologies and other necessary technologies to deliver a complete turnkey solution.

With sustained data rates of up to 20Mbps, LastLink allows for the secure delivery of high-capacity wireless broadband from an operations center to company command posts located at distances of up to 30 miles away.  This makes the solution ideal for sending large amounts of video, audio, and other data over long distances.
