DoD FTA (Frequency-Translator-Amplifier) project.

Luxul was recently selected to build a 2 Watt and 8 Watt FTA (Frequency-Translator-Amplifier) for use within the FAA, Navy and other government agencies. Using Luxul's patented Shock-WAV™ Digital Smart Amplifier technology and frequency conversion, an 802.11 "a" wireless access point can be converted to the government band (4.4 – 4.94 GHz) and broadcast at 2 Watts average power (8 Watt Peak) while still maintaining 64QAM OFDM throughput. The FTA is capable of achieving throughput speeds in excess of 15 Mbps at distances over 20 miles, making this product capable of handling voice, video and data at long distances.
